To be honest with you, blogging has been the last thing on my mind the last few days. With this whole homeless chaos and my husband being sicker than a dog due to the mold problems, I haven’t had much time and energy. I was up till 4am with D last night because he was having an asthmatic type attack and couldn’t breathe or stop coughing.
I’d be lying if I said I haven’t felt a little guilty over the last few days not blogging and spreading a ton of love to my sponsors. Thankfully Lisette is there for me, constantly giving me reality checks. Here’s the deal folks: sometimes real life happens. Blogging is a great way to connect with the rest of the world, share your thoughts, grow as a writer, and build a business. However, we need to remember we have a life outside of blogging. Hard I know. Everyday I sit there and think, “Is this good blogging material? I need to take a picture of this for the blog. I can’t forget to write a post today.” If you have something going on in your life, don’t think you have to keep pumping out posts.
Blogging isn’t your life
(well maybe it is if it’s what you do for a living). Your life is cuddling your fluffy little pet and taking him for walks. It’s making dinner for your husband and then reminiscing of the day with a nice warm cup of hot tea. Its going for a run at the gym or outside to get a little bit of those positive endorphins pumping through your body. It’s experiencing the world and all it has to offer every single day. It’s growing in knowledge and experience whether you’re comfortable with your situation or not.
However, blogging does benefit your life as well as your readers’! My favorite part about blogging is the the sense of community I have developed online. I never thought so many people would relate to me and my story, or find my life even remotely interesting. I initially started blogging for my friends and family back home to keep tabs on what was going on over here. I love being able to help and encourage others. Heck, I went to college and got a degree for that.
I’ve decided to recruit my sponsors again for another post (if you missed the first one you can find it here), this time to talk about what they love about blogging, as well as a few pet peeves.
Let’s start with the peeves:
So what do bloggers really love about blogging?
What about YOU? What’s your favorite part of blogging? Or maybe biggest pet peeve? Happy hump day!
