Thanks for sticking with me the last couple months as you’ve patiently waited for the reader survey results (I know you’re sitting on the edge of your seat and stuff)! I have FINALLY tallied up all the numbers and some things really surprised me! A big thank you to the 250 participants: you have not only made my year, but you have helped me figure out my reader-base that much more. I am eternally grateful!
Let’s get started:
What is your age?
Are you male or female?
Where are my male readers?! I do for a fact know I have them! Do I?
Where are you from?
Also had 2.70% from France, 2.70% from Denmark, 2.70% from Belgium, 2.40% from Sweden, 2.40% from Germany and 26 other countries were listed! Wow! I never realized how broad of an audience I had location-wise! I love it!
Do you have a blog?
Are you an expat?
How did you hear about Living In Another Language?
How long have you been a reader?
What kind of posts do you wish to see more of?
What part of the world do you find most intriguing to learn about? Why?
There were honestly so many answers for this one (as I allowed you to type in your own answer), so I chose my favorite submissions!
Africa. They have such different customs and everyone i know who has been to Africa, has said that it was an amazing, life-changing experience.
Every part of the world is intriguing, I think. I’m in love with nature so I’m really enjoying your photography and the posts that show the landscape of NZ.
India! Such a diverse, beautiful country and culture; I work with quite a few contractors from various parts of that country. I hope to get there some day. I’d also love to explore Aus/NZ some day so it’s fun reading about your current exploits! Oh, and I’d love to get back to Europe too… :) There’s so much history, and different cultural things to learn and experience. I hope to expose my almost-7-yr-old to other people and cultures as she gets older. And lets not forget the local ‘backyard’… I still need to get the Pacific NW in the U.S., and I’d love to get back up to Quebec too! hehe… lots on my wish list, eh?
Asia/Indonesia/that whole side of the world is fascinating to me. Especially thinking about diving adventures/jungle adventures.
Did anything in this survey surprise you?! I know it did for me!
